IRIS simulations, makers of a variety of FSX military aircraft, has signed a contract with ED to develop the Turkey, Dark Gray, and Raptor for DCS World. Don't expect these to be DCS-level simulations though: Those of you who have tried IRIS aircraft in FSX know that they have a lot of missing functionality.
There is one exception: The IRIS F-15E for FSX. It's by far their most detailed product. So it's no surprise that they've convinced ED to legally allow them to use the DCS label when marketing its port; in other words, to call it "DCS F-15E."
This is STILL not the fast mover that ED is working on, however, and it just goes to show that ED's fast-mover is not the F-15. But when you take these three aircraft plus the DCS-branded MiG-21 that beczl is working on, you can see what the future of flight sims looks like.
The F-14 should be released first. No word on carrier ops.
